What is Juvéderm Ultra Plus XC?

Juvederm Ultra Plus XC is an injectable gel comprised of hyaluronic acid. Like other Juvederm products, this hyaluronic acid filler is used to treat aging signs in the face. Juvederm Ultra Plus XC is a denser version of the Ultra XC. It can treat deep and pronounced facial wrinkles, lines, and folds. This injectable treatment will smooth out deep folds and wrinkles for a younger appearance.

How does Juvéderm Ultra Plus XC work?

Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring sugar in the body that works to retain fluids, keep the skin moisturized, and maintain its structure. Juvederm Ultra Plus XC was specifically formulated with a hyaluronic acid gel to treat deep nasolabial folds, as well as the cheeks and lips. During the treatment session, this gel is injected into predetermined points. In just 15 minutes, the treatment will be done, and the areas will start to appear fuller, smoother, and more youthful. The injection process is well-tolerated by most of our patients because the injectable gel is formulated with lidocaine, a local anesthetic, to minimize pain.
