What is the Halo Sciton Laser?

The Halo™ laser by Sciton® is the first-ever hybrid fractional laser to address a variety of skin concerns. As a hybrid fractional laser, it can deliver both non-ablative and ablative wavelengths simultaneously. This means that it offers both the effectiveness of ablative laser treatments with the short downtime of non-ablative laser treatments. Laser treatments in the Troy, Rochester Hills, and Detroit, Michigan areas can help to improve the appearance of skin tone, texture, fine lines, enlarged pores, and wrinkles. Plus, the non-ablative laser energy stimulates collagen production, helping tighten skin for long-term results. Standing alone, the Halo treatment is effective and an excellent choice for your skin health. This treatment can be combined with other lasers and light therapy offered at Envee Aesthetics such as BBL and MOXI to provide maximum laser benefits.

How are Halo Treatments Performed?

About an hour before your treatment session, a topical anesthetic will be applied so that you’re comfortable during the treatment. The Halo handpiece will gently heat the skin while the device’s cooling system will ensure that treatment is comfortable. Treatments commonly take about 45 minutes to complete. Following the procedure, a cold air fan and water mist will help to soothe and cool down the treatment area.

What can Halo Laser Therapy Do for Me?

The conditions that this unique laser treatment by Sciton can treat include:

  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Sun damage and pigmentation
  • Scars (acne scars or other)
  • Pigmented lesions
  • Enlarged pores

The benefits of laser resurfacing treatments are that they’re fast, painless, and yet highly effective ways to refresh your appearance and get rid of specific problems you have on both your face and body. Plus, the Sciton Halo system is safe for all skin types and colors.

Halo Results

Following the procedure, you may experience a warm sensation throughout the treatment area for up to an hour. Halo treatments require little to no downtime, allowing you to resume your daily activities immediately. For a couple of days after your session, your skin may appear slightly swollen. Dry, coffee ground-like dots, known as MENDS, will appear over your treated area. The MENDS will take up to five-ten days to fall off. The end product will leave you with a beautiful, glowing complexion. Results will last for years to come, but our team recommends that your skin should be protected from sun exposure at all times to maintain results.

How painful is Halo laser?

Halo laser treatment is painless. At the start of your Halo treatment, we will apply a topical numbing cream to the skin to keep you comfortable. Patients often feel a warming sensation that is not uncomfortable.

Does the Halo laser help sagging skin?

The Halo laser can improve mild to moderate skin laxity (sagging skin) by stimulating collagen production to plump and lift the skin.

What is the best age for Halo laser?

The Halo laser can benefit people of all ages. Patients in their 20s-30s can use Halo as a preventative treatment to maintain collagen growth and a youthful appearance. Patients in their 40s+ can use the Halo laser to smooth fine lines, wrinkles, and other signs of skin aging.

Why does my skin look worse after Halo laser?

The Halo laser creates tiny microwounds on the surface of the skin so temporary skin swelling and redness will occur. These effects only last 5-10 days, after which time the results of your treatment will start to develop.
