What is Juvéderm Ultra XC?

Juvéderm XC was first approved by the FDA for use in the face in 2006. Like other Juvéderm products, it is a hyaluronic acid filler formulated to get rid of aging signs. Juvéderm Ultra XC specifically targets moderate-to-severe wrinkles and folds. It is commonly used for smile lines around the nose and mouth and for fuller looking lips. This treatment will smooth out the skin to provide a youthful appearance.

How Does Juvéderm Ultra XC Work?

The gel in Juvéderm Ultra XC is made with hyaluronic acid. This is a naturally occurring sugar in the skin that helps to retain moisture and skin structure. This treatment is used to add volume to areas with wrinkles and folds in order to smooth out the skin. It is also approved to add fullness to achieve plump, natural looking lips. During the treatment session, the gel will be injected with an ultra-fine needle into the treatment area. The treatment itself only takes about 15 minutes to complete and you notice some change immediately. To help our patients feel comfortable, the gel is mixed with lidocaine, a local anesthetic, that minimizes pain. If you would like more anesthesia, talk with one of our Envee team members about this during your consultation. Overall this treatment is quick, effective, and painless.

Juvéderm Ultra XC Results

This is a highly effective treatment that provides results that can last up to one year. Many patients enjoy a natural-looking refreshed look without any downtime or recovery.
