What is Juvederm Volbella?
Juvederm Volbella is an injectable gel made of hyaluronic acid (HA). Volbella is part of the Juvederm collection of injectable dermal fillers that can add volume to the face to address needs like vertical lip lines, volume loss, and other aging concerns without the need for surgery. Volbella was specifically formulated for lip augmentation and the correction of perioral lines.
How Does Juvederm Volbella Work?
The hyaluronic acid in Juvederm Volbella attracts and retains moisture within the skin layers as well as enhances skin structure. The HA allows for a natural volumization of the skin with the injection process.
During the treatment session, hyaluronic acid fillers including Juvederm are injected with an ultra-fine needle into points in and around the lips. The injection process takes 15 minutes to complete and results in an immediate plumping of the lips and a smooth appearance of any lines around the mouth. Juvederm Volbella also contains lidocaine, a localized anesthetic, for an easy, comfortable injection process.

Juvederm Volbella Results
Juvederm Volbella has little to no downtime and recovery. Side effects are rare but may include temporary redness at the injection site, tenderness, swelling, bruising, and itching. The results from Volbella will be immediate with more dramatic results showing within a few weeks. Volbella has been shown to last for up to a year in most patients.
