What is ProFractional Laser Resurfacing?

ProFractional™ quickly and effectively treats wrinkles, acne scars, skin tone and texture, and pigmentation. Unlike full-field resurfacing, Profractional laser creates small microchannels in the skin, delivering safe, effective results and a shorter healing time. This laser is customizable, allowing the provider to tailor treatment to the patient’s skincare concerns and expected downtime.

How is ProFractional Laser Treatment Performed?

What makes ProFractional™ unique is that our team can tailor fractional resurfacing treatment depth and surface area. Both the depth of the treatment and the quantity of thermal heat are adjusted for the desired results. In general, the more heat and the more depth used, the better the end result will be. This treatment can be safely combined with Sciton devices, such as BBL and Halo, for comprehensive, synergistic results. About 45 minutes prior to treatment, a topical anesthetic will be applied so that you’re comfortable during the treatment.

ProFractional Laser Resurfacing Results

The more intensive the treatment and thermal heat generated, the longer the recovery period will be. Downtime ranges from 3-7 days. However, most patients notice drastic improvement in their unique skin concerns up to three months after their first treatment session.
